There is a new robbery trend targeting seniors known as ‘jugging.’ When you withdraw money from the ATM, a criminal lies in wait, then follows the target to another location and robs them. Jugging is on the rise nationwide and targets vulnerable seniors – even following them to their own homes and attacking them and taking their cash and valuables.

Another angle on jugging is happening nationwide in stores where robbers target victims shopping in stores by distracting them and stealing their wallets from their purses – often left unattended in a shopping cart. This version of jugging is primarily targeting elderly women.
