Estate and Probate attorney Steven M. Novak was selected to Illinois Rising Stars for 2019 by Super Lawyers, an honor bestowed on only 2.5% of the lawyers in Illinois each year. This is the 3rd year in a row Steven has been named an Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Star for his outstanding work in Estate & Trust Litigation.

Since 2010 Steven M. Novak has dedicated himself to estate and probate law. Steven M. Novak has extensive courtroom experience in probate administration and litigation, participating in all aspects of contested and uncontested guardianships and decedent’s estates. In 2017, 2018, and 2019, Steven M. Novak was named an Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Star.

About Steven M. Novak

Steven M. Novak graduated cum laude from the John Marshall Law School, where he served as a staff editor for The John Marshall Law Review. Steven M. Novak also received three CALI Awards from John Marshall in the areas of Property, Civil Procedure, and Evidence. Prior to attending law school, Steven M. Novak graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana – Champaign in 2007, earning a Bachelor of Arts in History.

Upon graduating from law school, Steven M. Novak served as a supervising staff attorney at the John Marshall Veterans Legal Support Center & Clinic. During his time at the Clinic, Steven M. Novak managed the Veterans Benefits division, which focused on assisting veterans appealing the denial of their benefits. On behalf of veterans or their family members, Steven M. Novak drafted numerous appellate briefs and co-authored two amicus briefs to the United States Supreme Court dealing with veteran’s law issues.
